What it does

  • Ask from anywhere

    Start on the web, your phone or the Mac app. The agent runs in the cloud and your computer carries out what it sends, so it works the same wherever you are.

  • It sees and uses apps

    On a Mac it reads an app's buttons and text, takes a screenshot, then clicks and types, mostly in the background so it doesn't take over your mouse.

  • It asks before what matters

    Reading is done directly. File changes keep the previous version for 7 days so you can undo them, a payment always asks you, and wiping a disk is refused.

How it works

  1. Connect a computer

    Install the Mac app and sign in, or the waper-node daemon on a server. It only connects out and opens no ports.

  2. Ask in any chat

    Say what you want done, with a path if it matters. The agent uses the computer that's online, or the one you name.

  3. Approve and undo

    When it needs you, a card shows exactly what it's about to do. File changes come with Undo.

Questions

Which computers work?
A Mac with the desktop app, or macOS and Linux machines with the command-line daemon. Looking at the screen and using apps needs the Mac app.
Is my computer open to the internet?
No. It only makes outgoing connections to Waper and opens no ports, so it works behind a router.
Can I undo what it did?
Writing, editing, moving and deleting files can be undone for 7 days (files over 50 MB keep no previous version). Actions inside an app can't be undone.
What if my computer is off?
It shows as not connected, and the agent can't use it. The agent finishes what it can in the cloud and tells you which computer to turn on.
